Renaissance Festival Part 2

Here were some other shots from the Renaissance. The SLP Bjorgaard's on the elephant, Logan riding the big rocking horse, and Chase and Logan's favorite the bubble bird bath. And let's not forget the ride home. These guys were tired as were the rest of us.
All in all a great day!! The Thesiban's know how to have a great time. I would of liked to sampled more beer and wine but a reason to go back. Maybe next time with out kids. And maybe with a costume too just to fit in more. (Yeah right!! Like you could get Eric to dress up for this.)
Huzzah!!

HEAR YE HEAR YE!! The Bjorgaard's conquer the Renaissance Festival

I've lived in the Twin Cities for almost 10 years now and have never been to the Renaissance Festival. It only runs Aug & Sept but somehow never made it out there. Well this year we made it out there. The St Louis Park Bjorgaard's joined us along with Manny Russ. Eric's mom Char and her husband Randy and our special guests from WI my aunt Diane and her son Logan.

We drove down 169 and parked in a huge field. Headed into this big castle looking area and once we got in I was a little overwhelmed. This place was crazy!!! There was food, stages, shops, and booths everywhere. Not to mention people dressed up in Renaissance costumes everywhere. A lot to take in and do but with a small child you have pick your spots wisely. We unfortunately didn't get to take in a lot of the shows but found plenty of other things to do and see.

Chase rode on his first Elephant, feed some goats, ate part of a turkey leg, and enjoyed playing in the dirt.

A Missing Friend-Gina Lin Anderson

As most of you know we have a friend from TRF that has been missing since October. She's vanished with no clues and it doesn't sound like any new clues have been coming in. They are having a pray vigil for her tonight in TRF. I was not able to attend but I'm thinking of her and her family tonight. I can't imagine what they are going though each day and hope they don't have to go though it much longer.

For those of you that don't know Gina she was a fun person who was close to her family. So for her to take off doesn't make any sense. This family needs closure and I hope the out come is a good one.

Please say a little pray for her and her family tonight. Here is the website for more information and for flyers to print out.

The picture of Gina and I was taken back in 1998.

Football season already?!?!?

It's that time of year again. Time for me to become a football widow. As you know Eric works in the car business and that means he works every Saturday. So Sunday is our day to spend as a family. Will now that fall is upon us so is football.

Tonight starts 1 of 3 Fantasy Football drafts that Eric is in. Soon come Saturday nights he'll spend 2 or more hours setting up his line ups. Than another 2 hours Sunday morning changing what he did the night before. Last year Chase was a little less active so it will be interesting to see if Eric can handle Fantasy football and a 16 month old.

In honor of Eric and his online football career. I thought I would post a classic picture from I believe 1995.

It's Puzzle Time!!

As Chase's favorite character on Noggin (Moose A Moose) always says "It's Puzzle Time." Chase as started mastering puzzles. We brought some out to him a couple months ago and he wasn't interested at all in them. I pulled them out again the other night to give it another shot. He has the animal puzzle down and has even started to say some of their sounds when putting in the pieces. We would like to Thank Grandma Sue and I believe Auntie Iny and Cousin Logan for this animal puzzle. (Let's hope we can keep all the pieces together)

Here are a couple pics of him assembling the puzzle

Naked Reading

Not sure I'll ever give this a try but as I was getting Chase ready for bed tonight he ran off. He grabbed a book and started counting Lady Bugs. I thought it was to funny to pass up a picture. One he'll love us showing people in the future.

BROTHER FONZIE

As all of you know before there was Chase there was Fonzie. A gift given to me for my 25th Birthday. He was the baby for 6 years and has done a wonderful job of adjusting to being ignored by us and terrorized by Chase. Could not ask for a better companion. This morning Chase was nice enough to wake him from his peaceful slumber with a hug. Before Chase I used to complain about getting up and letting the dog out in the middle of the night. Man I had no ideal what a baby can do for your middle of the night sleep!!

HOOP DREAMS!!

This evening Chase and I ventured out for a little basketball. He insist on going to the big hoops even if he can only throw the ball at the bottom of it. He's getting better at dribbling and he can throw it but don't expect him to catch a ball anytime soon. Which I'm told Bjorgaard's don't pass so maybe he doesn't really need to master the whole passing and catching skills.

Here's a couple photos of him at all the different hoops we encountered this evening.

With the size 6 shoe already (almost a 7) and the big hands I don't know how he can't be good at this game!

AFTERNOON AT THE ZOO!

Sunday we ventured out to the zoo with our friends from TRF "The Alby's". We went to the Como Zoo and let's just say there are a lot of interesting animals inside the cages and in the crowd (but maybe that's what you get at a free zoo).

Chase really enjoys the water exhibits. He really gets a kick out of any kind of waterfall. (lots of oohs and ahhs) We got to see a lot of the animals many were awake and roaming around. The verdict is still out on whether there are any wolves there. I've been there a couple times now and never have seen them.

Above is a shot of the kids. I would say pretty darn good shot of them too.
Chase, Kylie, Aden, Aliyah, & Brenna
Also a picture of Chase on his way home from the zoo.

To Blog or Not to Blog??

It is the New Age question? Do we want to Blog and let everyone know the inner workings of our life? (Or just the good stuff) To keep those family members & friends who aren't close posted on what we have been up too. And for them to see Chase grow up maybe not in person but the next best thing to it. I have thought about this for a couple months now. To start a blog or not. I'm on Facebook I can let people know what's going on there. I can email people with updates too. But some I know refuse to jump on the FB wagon. (Not sure why?) And others (my mom) don't get into the whole email thing.

So to answer my question to Blog or Not to Blog-My answer is what the heck-let's do it!!
