Hanging with the Boys

We have been keeping busy on these nice days. I wish I could get out more but it doesn't always happen. I have finally gotten some color though so even though I'm not Team Tan's captain this year I'm still on the squad.

Here are some shots of what we have been up to.

I managed to get Chase to the St Louis Park pool today. It was another beautiful day!! Chase was a little scared to go in with all the kids. Than once in he thought it was cold. We played a while in the huge sand area they have for the kids. I finally talked him into trying the pool area again. He loved the whale slide in the kiddie area. Once we finished at the pool we stopped at the concession stand for some treats. Popsicles and freezes.

Last Sunday we headed over to the Rislov's backyard for some sun. They have a couple pools for the kids and tons of toys for them to play with. Chase wasn't a big fan of the pools (he likes them hot) but we got him in there long enough for tea time.

This picture of Addy is to funny. She gets on this 4-wheeler and cruises.

Chase has been keeping Russ busy. Here they are doing some sidewalk chalk body outlines.

I always try to bring Chase out once a month on a Saturday to Panera Bread in the Knollwood mall for breakfast. The Mall sucks but it's a nice place to let a kid run free for a hour. This was Brayden's 1st trip. And he did very well. He just sat and looked around the whole time. After we eat I always let Chase ride the cars in the middle of the mall.

Here are some photos of our trip there.

Maternity Leave

I normally would never post these pictures but they are kind of funny. Eric went to basketball one morning and came home to us like this. A common site these days in our bedroom.

I go back to work July 22nd (booo!!!) I have really been enjoying these last couple weeks. Trying to get Brayden in some sort of routine but really not happening. He sleeps at night well but some nights is getting up every 2 hours. So that means I'm getting up every 2 hours too. That means I've been getting out of bed and up for the day around 9am. Going to be a little tough to do that in a month.

I need to play the lottery more because this is the life and I don't want to go back to work!!!

I'll post some pics & status of Brayden soon.

Rain Golf

It's been great to be off and spend time with Chase. Russ still watches him during the day but I get to hang around and see the little man jump from activity to activity every couple mins. So busy at this age nothing seems to hold his attention for more than a couple mins.

The other day it rained (once again!) so Chase was stuck inside. When the rain let up he was begging to go outside. He had to put his rain boots on in hopes of finding a puddle to jump in. I guess they settled on play golf for a couple mins.

I thought these pictures of his outfit were pretty good.

Chase attends his first movie on the big screen!!!

So many of you know Chase is obsessed with Toy Story. He has a couple Woody and Buzz dolls. He always wants to watch the movie, play the Toy Story apps on the I-pad, sing the songs from the movies, or read the Toy Story books. He's watched it so many times he now acts out parts of the movies. It's so darn cute to see his little imagination come out.

So we were all excited for the new movie to come out. I stayed back with Brayden and the rest of the family went to see the movie. In 3-D nonetheless. I was bummed I couldn't attend it with him. But there will be other movies. I made Eric promise to take some pictures.

Here are a couples shots.
I asked for his review and didn't get a lot of feed back but Eric said he seem to enjoy it and didn't have a problem watching the whole show.

On vacation part 2-TRF trip

This wasn't a great shot of the boys but it's a first. Chase likes Brayden but never
asks to pick up him until he seen other kids holding Brayden. This was his 1st attempt.

Chase enjoying the Alby's trampoline.

Chase found my cousins old school trucks to play with

Chase enjoying the sand box. I bought one of these when I got home in hopes to entertain

him in our back yard.

Chase playing house.

After our weekend in Walker I planned to take my first alone trip with both boys to TRF. The trip was a little over 2 hours and we made it without any problems. Eric and Russ headed back to the cities and what I told Eric was part of his Father's day gift. No kids or wife for 4 days!!!

Once there Grandma and Grandpa had a couple days off as did auntie Lindsay. We spent most of the time just visiting at home and getting the boys all together. (I didn't take a lot of pictures from this part of the trip).

On Monday we hit up the new Mexican restaurant in TRF. I gave it a B+. Pretty good food and the place was nice inside. It was a quicker lunch trip since Chase was with us and you can only entertain him for so long. After lunch we went to the Lundgren's so Chase could enjoy their back yard fun. It was a nice day but we encountered the Minnesota state bird up there in full force. The Mosquito!!

On Tuesday I woke up not feeling the best. I ended up having a rough morning took some medicine and than a nap. I woke up feeling good and just in time to head over to the Alby's so all my friends could meet Brayden. We had a nice dinner and everyone got to see the little peanut. Chase enjoyed jumping on their trampoline.

On Wednesday some of my aunts came over for lunch and got to meet Brayden. Bridger was also over and once again Chase was scared of his cousin. They would play well for a while and than all heck would break loose. We tried to play outside but even in the sun the bugs were bad. I didn't get a picture of it but Chase had over 20 bites. He thought they were pretty cool because he got to put on Toy Story band aids on the bites.

We got up early Thursday morning to get ready to hit the road for our 5 hr trip. Chase managed to get Grandpa sick also so he had stayed home that day. And thankfully he did!! He entertained the boys well I finished packing the car up. I was able to leave early and drove though Wadena at 1:30 that day. Missing the tornadoes by a couple hours. I'm thankful for my dad that morning and for the fact that I had volleyball at 7:15 that night in Eagan to get back to.

All in all a good 1st trip with the boys. We got back to the cities in 6 hours not bad at all. Brayden slept almost the whole way and Chase watched movies most of the time. I was so worried about traveling that far with them but the little guys proved to be great for their mom!!

On Vacation-Bjorgaard family vacation

Eric and Chase before their boat ride. Chase even got to drive it.

Eric napping with Brayden

Chase and I in the hot tub. The pool was too deep and too cold for him.

Chase's enjoyment-jumping on beds and pillow fights with the girls.

This picture cracks me up. I was trying to get a shot of him jumping in the air. Instead
I got what looks like half a kid.

Chase working on his long jump.

There was an older swing set on the grounds we had to check out.
It made me nervous when he climbed up it but he proved he doesn't need
his mom's help anymore.
Russ and Chase fishing from the dock.

Chase checking out the fish caught off the dock.

Grandpa Ed freeing a fish.

It's been a while since I have blogged. We were on vacation last week and than it's taken a couple days to get back into the swing of things.

Our vacation started with the Bjorgaard family vacation in Walker. For the 2nd year in a row the weather wasn't the best. It was warmer than last year and we didn't have a complete wash out but hopefully next year is our year for sun!!! We made the most of it with fishing, the indoor pool, and some yard games. Though you didn't see much of me with the baby I kept busy attending to him. Chase was entertained by his cousins and Eric ended up making a casino trip by himself this year. Hopefully next year will be the year the whole family is together (some of the cousins missing), better weather, and Jenny not a sleep deprived zombie.

Here is a couple pictures from the Bjorgaard family weekend.

Grandma Char brought up her camera a couple weeks back and took some shots of Brayden. He did very well for the camera. She took a lot of pictures here are a few.

Brayden's Activies

He loves to look at this pillow.

Tummy time

Swing time

Sleep Time

This is play time with Chase. Chase was so nice to share his ball collection.

As a baby there is not much to do but sleep, eat, cry, and look around for a couple hours a day. I thought I would share some shots of what Brayden has been up to.

Auntie Lindsay, Cousin Bridger & David come to visit too

Chase thought it was funny to be in his diaper in the rain.
Brayden's 1st trip to the zoo. Slept the whole 4 hours we were there.

I love these things could watch them all day.

Chase blocking the shot of the leopard

Here's a shot of the 2 boys checking out the leopard.

Popsicle time

A shot of the Drury girls and their boys

My sister, my nephew and her boy friend came down early Saturday to visit us over the Memorial weekend. We laid low on Saturday trying to get the boys all on the same activity proved hard. We got a pizza that night and just relaxed.

On Sunday we headed out to the MN zoo. It was a great day hot when we got there but we got out of there before the rain hit. The boys were kind of interested in the animals but mostly just to run free was good for them.

We headed over to Grandma Char's after for a outdoor BBQ but the rain put a end to that. So we had to move it inside. We were all tired from the zoo so we loaded up on great food, watched a little of the Twins game, and headed home.
Glad they all got to come down for a visit. I will be up in TRF in a couple weeks to invade them.
