Chase's new bedroom set on it's way!!

So after a lot of looking (and I mean alot). I finally found a bedroom set that should work great in Chase's new pad. He's moving into the old guest room (which is pretty small) while baby moves into his current room. I figure in a couple years if he wants to he can move back into the baby's room and get the bigger bedroom. And also an excuse for me to re-decorate another room. Or if baby #2 is a boy I might move them both into the bonus room (in a couple years) which is a lot bigger and make them share a space.

Bad thing about the bedroom set. Is that it's going to take a couple weeks to get here. We had it shipped to the house for shipping to the store would have taken longer(??). So in the next couple weeks I need to repaint his new room and get ready for the furniture to come.

I found the bed at Totally Kids Fun Furniture in Bloomington. Really cute store but they mostly had bunk beds and loft beds on the show room floor. This model I found on their website http://thebeanbagstore.com/index.html. So I haven't got to see it in person yet so really excited too.

Here's a picture of the new bed. It's a twin size and we also ordered a dresser to match. His room is being done in blues, whites, and oranges. He has a space theme going on. Sure hope he likes it!!

Baby #2-34 Week ultrasound

Quick update on my last ultrasound. Had one this morning it took 6 mins and I was out of there. The doctor only ordered a BPP (biophysical profile) which means check of the amniotic fluid and heart rate check. I think they call these a non-stress test also. So when I asked her the weight and for pictures she said dr didn't order that and insurance won't pay for that so couldn't get it. LAME!!! She said everything looked good and I was an 8 out of 8. So I guess I'm happy with that. Baby was moving all around in there. Heart beat was 126.
Not much more to report. I'm huge and will try to get a belly shot up on the blog. (Kara you must come visit if I do this).

Spring is here!!!

No snow in March is still crazy for us to believe. But than add 70 and 80 degree temps it really makes for a great spring so far. Russ and Chase have been spending a lot of time already at the parks and playing outside. They play baseball, golf, basketball, and drive the four wheeler around.

Most nights I get home and Chase wants to head back outside to play. I don't think he cares about eating dinner each night just wants to play. To bad his mom doesn't see it the same way.

The other night he got on his four wheeler and we cruised around the development. He tired to head towards the park but his battery was almost dead on the four wheeler and there was no way I could of made it that far either.

Another month has went by and I've been not so good at blogging. Not much going on in the Bjorgaard home. Well I shouldn't say that. I'm trying to get ready for baby #2 by re-organizing the whole place. But I'm finding this really hard working full time and than coming home to a very busy toddler. Plus it doesn't help that Eric works pretty much every night. And no one (except maybe another baby) will take away my Saturday naps. I guess if it gets done it gets done.
I've been busy looking for a new bedroom set for Chase's big boy room. Along with new bedding, paint, and accessories. I'm also redecorating the guest bathroom upstairs. Pictures to follow soon. We have added a door onto our bonus room upstairs and will be moving the guest bed into there. We just sent our pull out couch, coffee table, and desk up to Eric's sister so we would have more space. I hated getting rid of the couch but there just wasn't room. So for you visitors we still have room for you.

Our dishwasher also stop working. We thought we had it fixed only to find out there was a hole in the drain tube so Russ's room in the basement got wet again. It went into the ceiling and onto his mattress so we had to get rid of that and buy a new one. Plus in the end we (Eric) decided to go buy a new dishwasher. So far so good!! But some added expenses we weren't planning for.

Baby update!! Last check up went good but having one more ultrasound next week to check growth and fluid levels. I'm hoping to get pictures so I'll post those next week. She said baby's growth looked good and heartbeat was good. She said he/she was still high which is what they want to see at this stage. I'm feeling good but slowing down a little.

HAPPY ST PATTY'S DAY!!!!

Well another St Patty's has come and once again no green beer for me. Working in St Paul I got to see a lot of the action starting early today. The streets were full of green!!!

Chase and I ran some errands and decided to stop at McD's for a Shamrock Shake. Next best thing to green beer. As you can see from the pictures Chase got just as much ice cream on his shirt as in his belly.
Maybe next year I can join in on the green beer again. Wishing everyone the "Luck of the Irish" to you!!!!

Why you don't leave a 2 year old alone in the bathroom.

I left Chase to brush his teeth in our bathroom while I went to finish packing for our weekend trip up north. He had just had a bath and was about 10 mins away from bed. Mostly he brushes his teeth and comes back down the hall looking for me. It had been a couple minutes and I hadn't seen him yet. I called his name a couple times but he didn't come out. Than he appears out of the bathroom his hair totally slicked down all greased up. He got into Eric's crew pomade. Not sure how much he got in his hair. But it was a total mess!!!

I got a "that's why you can't leave 2 year old alone in the bathroom" from Eric. And Eric got to give him his 2nd bath of the evening.

Here's a shot of his hair dressing talents.

Spring is a coming!!

I need shades when I eat cones.

Chase and I went to the DQ last weekend to get a little lunch and celebrate the nice weather. He didn't finish his lunch but he did finish his cone with out any help.

Daddy the hair dresser

So this is what Chase looks like a lot of the time after Eric gives him a bath and gets him ready. I think Eric is secretly living through his son's hair since his has never nor will ever be able to do this with his own hair.

Grandma/Papa come for a visit

Our Cookie Monster!!
A portion of the cookies made.
Chase and Papa reading???

Eric got a great deal on some floor seats for the T-wolves game so he invited my dad to join his brothers and him for the VIP treatment at the game. So my parents made a trip down to see us. Chase entertained them by playing the WII. Yes-he beat his grandma bowling (but it was her first time playing the game). Than papa and Chase read a couple books and took a little nap. They also played hockey, basketball, and a little baseball in the house. We headed out for dinner at Granite City. Chase won't let anyone else hold him except papa and he even had to sit by him at dinner.

On Sunday the girls headed out to shop since I never get to do that anymore. We made the most of it hitting the mall and The General Store (cute gift shop in Minnetonka). We got back in time for the guys to head downtown for the game. I had this great ideal to make Monster cookies. My dear friend Kara makes them and they taste so darn good!! Little did I know how much of a project it would be. Once we figured out how much stuff we needed we could barely find a bowl big enough to fit all the ingredients. Yes this recipe is a monster!! I would not recommend doing it while trying to entertain a toddler. My mom ended up doing most of the work. But we finished them after about 3 hours worth of time and 212 cookies later.

Monster Cookies Recipe
Mix the following ingredients together with mixer in a Large bowl!
1 lb butter
1 dozen eggs
4 c sugar
2 lbs brown sugar
3 lbs peanut butter
1 Tbsp Karo syrup
4 tsp baking soda
1 Tbsp vanilla
Stir in the following with a spoon.
1 lb chocolate chips
1.5 lbs M&M candies
18 cup oatmeal
Drop by spoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets and flatten slightly.
Bake at 350 for 8-10 minutes. DON'T OVER BAKE.
After baking leave cookies on the pan for a few mins before removing to cooling rack.
Recipe makes 8-12 dozen depending on size.

Baby Update-29 Weeks!

I had another ultrasound this morning and everything looked good. Baby is measuring right on my due date of May 19th. Baby was 2 pounds 15 oz. (compared to my baby center emails baby's at 29 weeks weigh about 2 1/2 pounds.) So I could be having another bigger than normal kid. Though I don't think it will be the 9 pound something like Chase was. I have an appointment with the doctor next week so they will let me know how my amniotic fluid levels are. The ultrasound tech got a couple shots this time but when she went to print them out the machine didn't work. So no pictures again. But that's ok I would just sit and study them to figure out if it's a boy or girl. Baby was sleeping most of the time but I did notice some big feet. We could have another one walking at 9 mths again if he/she gets it's dad's feet again.

As for me feeling pretty good most days. Haven't gained as much weight (so far) as with Chase. A lot less time laying on the couch this time around. People have said I look to be carrying different and seem smaller than last time. First off- Thanks for those comments!! Me myself not sure if I'm carrying different and I think I'm huge. I can't seem to get enough BBQ chips could eat them with every meal. I also love chocolate malts this time around. Little strange since I'm not a huge chocolate fan. But I have to say any other sweets including sugar cereals is probably my favorite thing once again.

So a little over 2 months to go until baby is here. We have a lot of small projects I would like to get done at the house before hand. I sure hope Eric is ready for my before baby to do list!!!
